Curious as to what's in your metal containers nlf ?
Those are rings for bonfires. I'm using them to elevate the garden so it has better drainage. We get over 100 inches of rain here and the last 2 years of gardens failed to produce because of the change in rain patterns. Basically the ground was too soggy. When you elevate the garden beds above ground level like this, they're able to wick up moisture and stay moist, but excessive water won't wick up and you get air in the soil too. Rice and cranberries are about the only plants I know of that don't mind being flooded.
