Naagh !  But now it is really worth a 10p bet because you had me wondering a moment, but I'm still saying willow  .
A week or so will confirm.

It's a 'wait and see' plant - wait until it does something like flower, then see what it is.

We have wild plum and damson here and the leaves look very similar- that's my 10p guess.

That's what I thought but would rather vote for hydrangea .
You cant be sure from the picture I'm afraid.
I can be sure that the goats would eat it in no time

I've had another look at it and come to the conclusion it's hydrangea - one reason is that my friend says they are very easy to propagate - so it's probably self seeded.  I'm going to take a bit off my huge hydrangea at the front door and  try it

It hasn't done a lot but it is in an unused bed (disappointing germination rates this year)
