Having kept Suffolk cross sheep and LLeyn sheep in Cornwall, when we came to France the price of the local sheep in Dordogne was very expensive. We found someone about an hour away in the Lot and she sold us some Causses crosses. They are pretty unusual - long legged (used for milking) and when crossed with a meat sheep make good carcases. Pretty tame and dont really have an issue with flies in the summer as their coat is pretty light and tight. They have panda eyes and slightly droopy ears too.
