Very unusual Cornish weather yesterday. We had 4” of snow in about three hours. Roads were blocked in every direction, and one of our members got stranded at the doctors’ and had to stay overnight! Thankfully we have some decent sheds for the cattle (including the newest arrival, just two days old today
)
The Fell Ponies seemed to be saying, “Oh, I remember this!” They were glad to see me with an extra feed of hay to warm them for bedtime, but were fine in their relatively sheltered field, as were the sheep.
Typical Cornwall, it’s melting away today, thank goodness. It was so pretty, and the children (of all ages
) had such fun, but it’s a lot of extra work for the livestock team, so I’m glad to see it go.
