We had to say goodbye to our border collie Meg today. She was 16 years and 4 months old, and was our almost constant companion for all that time, whether inside or outside. She was an awesome dog, we'll miss her terribly and she'll always be remembered.
Meg x
If you've ever watched any of our videos, or been on a course here, you'll have seen Meg. She was *always* there, making sure we didn't suffer some terrible disaster that only she knew how to prevent. Even going to the toilet was something Meg felt we weren't to be trusted doing alone.
Sadly she had been losing feeling and control in her back-end for a couple of years. Lately she struggled to get up and down the stairs, and had become doubly incontinent. She was almost completely deaf and blind, although she did her daily rounds with Rosemary right to the end.
She had a fantastic life and though it was such a hard decision to call the vet out, it was the right thing to do.
Rest in peace Meg, your watch is over and you can run free.

Dan and Mary so sorry for your loss we also lost our border collie Ben of 14 years and 2 months on December 29. He too had lost the use of his back legs .He passed away in my 13 year old son's arms as my son was helping him in his doghouse for the night. It's been and very difficult time for us too. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. James

so sorry to hear about this... She looks so beautiful and is identical to our welsh sheepdog. She had a very good life with you and she will be sorely missed but fondly remembered. All the best
