W/e Sunday 7^th July

Mixed weather; it would be warm for winter but it’s not warm for summer. Wednesday, downright cold in the morning, after overnight rain, but warming up and getting windy in the afternoon.

Dan’s been busy cutting grass, cutting down rogue trees (for path edging and pegs in the front garden). We bought twelve alpines last week, so they have been planted in the stumpery.

I’ve been busy with election stuff.

Thursday 4^th July

Incredibly windy, cold in the morning. Incredibly windy, warm in the afternoon.

Friday 5^th July

Tired and fed up. Sore feet. Sore heart. That is all.

Woke at 4am, saw the election results, tidied out the feed store. Cooper and Dottie helped.

Saturday 6^th July

Really heavy rain overnight and showers, some very heavy, through the day.

Dan brought me breakfast in bed. And Cooper. That’s yogurt and cooked red fruit. He’s weird.

Dan’s been cutting wood in the barn, strimming and just busy. I’ve been doing paperwork with the intention of starting fresh tomorrow. Hopefully. But what a clear out I’ve had. Very therapeutic.

Sunday 7^th July

I went to see “Horizon – an American saga” last night. Three hours and one minute.

This week’s front garden update.

The path needs weedkilled but it hasn't been the weather for it.

Dan's tied off the end of the brick path. The armoured cable will run to the sitooterie to provide light.
