Most standard electric fencing rope has 6 x 0.2mm stainless steel conductors running through a 6mm width to ensure good conductivity. Also known as Polyrope.
As a guide, 200 metres of rope on a reel will cross 28 fence posts in a single strand, at seven metres apart in good fencing areas.
This standard fence rope has UV protection to stop degeneration in strong sunlight. The rope is white for visibility. A strong alternative to tape giving good conductivity.
