Beetroot Moneta Seeds
According to the packet, Beetroot Moneta requires less thinning, and therefore less work! This 'monogerm' variety produces one strong seedling per cluster thus alleviating thinning out the young plants.
The uniform, round, smooth skinned roots from Moneta beetroot are of excellent flavour and deep crimson internal colour. Can be sown earlier than many varieties without the risk of bolting.
For early crops choose a bolt-resistant variety and sow March-early April. For use in summer and autumn make successional sowings of suitable varieties from late April to July. Store roots in dry sand, soil, or peat for winter use. (12-16 weeks maturity.)
