Beetroot Detroit 2 Seeds
Beetroot Detroit 2 roots are absolutely perfect for pickling! Dark red, delicious-tasting roots, ideal fresh or pickled.
Detroit 2's uniform, round, smooth skinned roots have an attractive rich red internal coloration and stand for a long period without becoming 'woody'. Very tasty.
For early beetroot crops choose a bolt-resistant variety and sow March-early April. For use in summer and autumn make successional sowings of suitable varieties from late April to July. Store roots in dry sand, soil, or peat for winter use. (12-16 weeks maturity.)
