Depending on how dedicated a mother to be she is i would think she would with out being disrupted to badly, i had a broody who stayed broody fora bout a month, as i was taking away her eggs as i did not want chicks in December. she eventually gave up.

I am not certain Kerstin but I think I have read somewhere that she would continue to sit with new eggs under her. Infact this must be true because the gilr I have just now with 5 chicks sat for about 2 weeks before I gave her fertilised eggs and she sat as normal. It must be their instinct. :chook:

our broodies have sat on plastic eggs for a couple of weeks then went on to sit for 3 weeks, as long as they are sitting on something it has worked for us.
Good luck
