Grasses with wild flower meadow
« on: April 23, 2018, 07:13:30 pm »
We've just had drainage put in throughout our meadow and we've now been left with large bare patches (though grass has pushed it's way through in places). We're thinking this might be the perfect time to try and grow some wild flowers but we don't want to be left with bare ground after they've finished flowering.

Can anyone suggest some grasses that we could grow with wildflowers that won't overpower them?

Many thanks.

Something like this: https://www.cotswoldseeds.com/product/cotswold-wild-flora  is 75% grasses, 25% wild flowers.

Exciting Foobar - we're just going to order from Cotwold Seeds today (we'll get annuals this year, then grasses and perennials next year) - thanks for the link Scarlet Dragon.
