Hello from Lancashire!
« on: August 12, 2010, 04:07:17 pm »
Hello

I'm new here... writing from the windy Lancashire coast..

I describe myself as a "Not-Quite-Smallholder" - we have ducks, chickens, a veg patch, a polytunnel and orchard; but work full time doing other jobs too

Hello!!

Lancashire coast is our nearest seaside (we are in Derbyshire) and I do agree, it can be bracing - but nice all the same.

You sound like quite a smallholder to me, I only grow pigs, chickens and ducks, as I kill anything green just by touching it.  Welcome

Hi and welcome from Angus! My sister lives in Tarleton, about 9 miles from Southport. Anywhere near you?

We're a bit more north than that - think Blackpool/Fleetwood way  ;D

However, I did used to drive through Tarleton on my way to uni every day!
