Two new boards
« on: July 27, 2010, 04:30:45 pm »
In response to a suggestion (we sometimes listen!) I've added two new boards to the forum:

  • Herbs - how to grow and use herbs (legal herbs that is)
  • Home brewing - all about making your own drink at home, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, but probably dominated by beer, wine and cider!  :yum:

I'm sure many of you have experience in these two areas (at least comsuming the latter) so fully expect them to thrive.  :)

Thank you, Dan.  Yes, I have experience in sampling alcohol ...........like growing herbs too, but beer tasting is very nice.  Just in the course of making it of course.  I would not want anyone to think I like alcohol.

I love growing herbs but mine sort of look after themselves and some I never realy use but they are pretty, so would be great to read about others growing expertise and as for home brew, I would love to do that too but it takes me a lot of my time doing this B&B stuff and I am not sure if the smell of beer brewing in the airing cupboard wouldn't temp a lot of our male guests to have a try!!!

That's a good idea putting the new boards on Dan.

Could I make another request please? Don't know if this is the right place but I would love to have a 'back to top' button at the bottom of each page. I use the posts since last visit button and have to scroll up every time I get to the bottom of a page. Sorry to whinge but it would help me. Let me know if this facility already exists would you?  ;D

I'd like that too - I keep forgetting I have a wheel in the middle of the mouse for scrolling up quick.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

A few years ago i met a friend who was a Kiwi, anyway getting to know him better it turns out he was a chemist and we shared some funny stories but the one that sticks in my mind was when he told me that they got shown how to extract resin from plant matter as part of the course. He said the cannabis bushes looked like skeltons come the monday morning and all students were chilled out for the first few lessons.

Sorry Dan just sprang to my mind on your new 'herb' post.

I wont go into the other bloke i knew that used to have magic mushroom gravy on his roast dinner on Sunday lunchtimes...  :P
