Looking for strawbales for house build

Hi folks.

We're looking for approx 350 straw bales of the following spec: size approx 460x365x1000mm; density 100-150kg/m3; dry with tight strings; uniform shape; long straw (any crop).

We can of course get them by advance order for next year's harvest, but we'd much prefer to source, buy and store them now to give us an opportunity to start building earlier in the Spring. I'm enquiring to the usual suppliers just now with little success (not surprisingly), but am hoping someone on here might have insider knowledge of a very specific stash somewhere! The spec MUST be as described above, though.

We're located about 20 miles north of Glasgow.

The harvest was really bad this year and in many places prices have doubled, good luck!  You might be better pre-ordering for the next harvest.

Thanks, yes I'll try that FB group. We're fully expecting to have to wait until next year, but its worth a try.
