shedding sheep and marking fluid

To all who keep wool shedders - how long does raddle or any other mark stay visible on wool shedders.  I'm guessing there's a big moult in the spring so raddle marks may stay on for a while but if I paint numbers on my ewes before lambing how long before the numbers are gone?
Never ever give up.

Don't know about raddle, but I lamb in April and do have a problem with ewes shedding their marks, sometimes within a couple of weeks, though a few have already shed enough to mark a shed area. As they all shed at different times I guess you just have to get them in and re-mark before you lose track of who's who.

I spray number my ewes a week/10 days before lambing ---run a tightish lambing (28 days from 1st to last)
Some numbers fade/rub off before the end of lambing but i can generally figure who is who

Raddle marks ---stay on until the same time , gone by end of April
