What do you use for slaughtering and butchering poultry please? DH is fed up and wants something better and quicker than a broomstick and a kitchen knife.
Thanks

Dan

We use an airgun to stun and a very sharp knife to bleed out immediately afterwards. There's a section on the site about slaughtering poultry you might find useful:

Butchery is very straightforward once it clicks. I learned from this guide: http://butcherachicken.blogspot.co.uk/ and can now butcher a chicken in about 5 minutes with a sharp filleting knife and a cleaver.

HTH!
