Farm equipment and vintage implements for sale

For sale from Palacerigg Country Park, Cumbernauld.
Sale by silent auction with closing date Tues 30th May. No reserve prices.
Information Pack and bidding papers available from Palacerigg Reception on 01236 720047.
Viewing at Palacerigg by arrangement. We are open 7 days between 9am and 7.45pm.
For sale are:
1. Ritchey cattle crush - includes foot lifting equipment, belly strap and transport frame - good condition
2. Rheintechnik calving jack - as new
3. Vintage implement - 2 furrow plough - reasonable condition
4. Vintage implement - turnip seeder - reasonable condition - broken cast on drum
5. Vintage implement - Wallace potato digger - reasonable condition - some broken cast work

I had hoped North Lanarkshire would have held on to things till budgets improved. Very sad, Palacerigg  has always been a very special green oasis for folk from Cumbernauld. It appears to be being run further and further down. Even the local plan is now proposing housing just down the road in a completely unsuitable site - I don't have much faith in the planners. Hopefully all who work their will try their best to keep this running through these difficult times and press for improvements rather than letting it slip any further. It is hugely important for folk.

I think they are moving to become a city farm.

I would guess they see no improvement in finances in the foreseeable.

We are doing fine at Palacerigg and are just selling off some equipment we no longer use. We are currently building new pens and are about to invest more in the farm signage and new activities for visitors. Thanks for your support - and watch this space!
