Hi everyone.... Here's a long shot!

I am looking for someone or someone who knows someone who could sell me a pair of happy healthy Herdwick ewes as close as possible to Shrewsbury.
It's my other halfs birthday on Thursday and she's wanted some herdys forever and it would be nice to earn a few brownie points!

I could put a request on the local smallholders group on Facebook but she'd see it, so that's a no-no...

I did speak to someone today who had some but I didn't really feel comfortable and after previous experiences I think I've decided to go with my gut and give him a miss, sadly...

Any help (or herdwicks) would be greatly appreciated

Hi (and happy birthday to your wife!)
I am a big herdwick fan too  unfortunately we don't have any but if you look on preloved there are a few for sale in North Wales. Those for sale in Rhuddlan (sold by Gemma & Aaron) also have a farm on the outskirts of Wrexham (we got our Badger face ram from them) so maybe they could meet you half way? Nice people and healthy sheep.

Hello and thanks for the reply but I found a bloke about an hour away who had some.
So we now have two gorgeous but very timid young herdys in the donkey paddock. A bit different to our cross breeds who pretty much trample us when they see us with the sheep nut bucket!

He had bought 125 from Cumbria and now sells them in small lots...
