Hello
I'm Dan and as the title suggests I'm brand new to the forum. Always wanted to have a small holding and now the proud farther of two very outdoor mischievous boys I want one even more. To be able to raise my children arround the animals out as much as possible and with an appriciation of where produce comes from and what it takes to produce is the absolute ideal

Hi Dan,

Sorry you've had no "welcomes" yet! Welcome to the forum! I have two young daughters myself so can understand why you want a smallholding. Its a great place to bring them up learning about where their food comes from and its just a far healthier lifestyle.

Where are you based?

Best of luck finding your smallholding!

I think maybe from your title some folk assumed this was spam  ;D   Naughty minds  :o

So, welcome [member=168461]2011dandd[/member]  to TAS.

We were one of those families which didn't make it back to living the smallholding life until our children had left home.  We gave them every opportunity of an outdoor life with holidays in the wilds of Scotland, hiking, biking, sailing, camping and so on, plus lots of working at the allotments.  We still wish though that they had been brought up on a farm or smallholding, as I was.

So make a start with growing veggies and having farm holidays and work at making your dreams come true.  It really is worth all the hard work  :farmer: :garden: :tree:

Hi Dan
Welcome to the forum from Ceredigion!  Any specific areas you want to live?
If Wales you can try the smallholding centre, the monthly advertisers has quite a few advertised too. Also zooplankton, savills, preloved advertise some and it's always worth checking on FB too. All the best with your search and I hope this helps.
Regards
