I don't have any horses at the moment  :'( (and I'm not really horsey so excuse my lack of knowledge ;) ;D) But when I was younger we had a couple of shetlands and a welsh mountain pony. The shetland mare was a lovely placid wee thing (up til the farrier walked into the field then she turned into a bucking bronco - she was prone to laminitus :() the gelding was a bit bolshier (my poor wee granny had to get stitches in her hand after he decided he was having her thumb one day !) and the welsh mountain pony was the most gorgeous pony I've ever seen - markings like black beauty, just not as big and muscley, but she was a bugger for catching and always seemed to be able to get her head collar off !

cobs are my 'thing'..i just love their solidness (is that a real word?) and their natures.  you always know where you are with a cob....usually dead slow or stop though!  Over the years we've had: clydesdales, shetlands; TB's (big mistake!); section B; welsh draft x TB (great jumping mare).....currently have 2 cobs (one welsh section D & one gypsy show cob, one old section B & just sold a teeny black shetland mare)

couldnt be without my horses

Hello Daisy and NLL.
Fancy seeing you two on here!

I have 3 Dales ponies, 1 Dales x Fell, a Fell mare and a Fell gelding, an ID mare and a Dartmoor x Shetland.  Have to say the Dales are my favourite, but cannot fault the ID for her kind temperament.
