bees are amazing - try sticking 60,000 people in a space and telling them to organise themselves - food, water, hierarchy, looking after babies, and see what happens!
i was at the demonstration hive at the back for ages, then the honey extraction area and then helping the children make beeswax candles. i spoke to so many people that i dont know if i spoke to you or not Annie - sorry.
funnily enough lots of people make a beeline (oops!) for the beekeeping tent they were telling me. one wee boy said it eas his favourite thing every year and he begs his mum and dad to bring him there first!
Cairnhill, the course is really worthwhile and builds your knowledge and confidence so when you get your own bees you feel so much more confident - much better than going it along. lots of support and help from the BKA too. lots of nice folk up aberdeen way.
Annie, who are your friends in Dunblane - may know them?
