Shetland ewes wanted
« on: August 13, 2016, 06:16:46 pm »
I am looking for 4 Shetland ewe lambs or gimmers, I am in the Scottish Borders so don't want to travel too far. Looking for ewes with nice fleeces and not black as I already have Zwartbles and no one seems to want theirs.

We have 3 grey Shetland gimmers for sale and are in Kilmarnock. I have still have their fleeces from this year if you wanted to see what they produce.

Hi [member=2350]Daisys Mum[/member] I'm in fife and I have a fairly full spectrum of colours available
Dark brown/black
Grey
Moorit
And some beautiful almost honey coloured girls I don't know the official description of.
Colour would dictate age.

I'm keen to sell on a few ewes/glimmers this year as I just have too many currently.

All are easily handled and available from September (couple of ewes are still with this years lambs)

If you have an idea specifically of colours you're interested in I can post photos of possible candidates...

Price negotiable

Bloomer, thanks for replying, family have decided that they want 5 ewe lambs of mixed colours, basically so that my grandchildren can tell them apart as they will have to be named, so if you have these and can let me have a price for them, I would definitely be interested

There's a big variation within the breed though Sally.....

I should have said, I've seen an outstanding Zwartbles fleece that anyone would have loved to spin.  And one of the girls where I'm going looks to have an interesting fleece.  So yes, there can be nice Zwartbles fleece.

Is that yours or Mrs Womble's spinning of one of your Zwartbles, Womble?
