Lamb loosing wool
« on: August 10, 2016, 08:47:38 pm »
Hello everyone, I have a South Down lamb which recently had fly strike, I successfully treated her. She is eating well. But now three weeks on is losing her wool on her sides. All other lambs and ewes are ok. I presume this is due to the stress of the fly strike. Will the wool grow back or is there anything else I should do.

yes your assumption is right - it will be down to the stress.  There's nothing ou can do but keep picking it up in the field!
