1/2 litre goats milk
1.7kg raw cane sugar
200g butter

melt the whole lot together and boil for 10 mins or until reaches 130C. cool for 2 mins. beat and pour into greased trays. leave to set. score before set.

Guess what I made today?!  ;D

ps. its still runny - so perhaps dont' take this as a recommendation - yet LOL

after a night in the fridge, its still a bit wobbly - I think i've done a booboo!! might have to have it as 'goo with ice cream' for pud!

A good way to tell if it is ready (i.e. will set) is to have a glass of ice cold water next to the mixture, drop some in and  if it doesn't turn the water cloudy and holds together it's done - sounds like yours wasn't quite at that stage - have another go - but the 'ice cream goo' sounds deee-lish!

hi sharon and winslowporker - seems mine didn't quite get beaten enough so will try again another day!
the kids devoured the goo with spoons (dentist will love me!!)

Goats milk tablet or fudge is great, we used to make a lot of tablet. In the good old days we used to sell it (along with chilled little cups of goats milk) in the goat tent at the Royal Highland Show.

2 cups marshmallows (either mini marshmallows or regular ones chopped up)
14 ounces (or 435ml) condensed milk
12 ounces (or 360g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
1+1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 dessertspoon salt
