Tomatoes and Cucumbers . . .
« on: May 12, 2010, 03:07:49 pm »
Hi

I am not sure what to do now - my tomato and cucumber plants have been growing merrily along on my windowsill and are now getting too big - they need to move outside to their growbags really. The cucumbers are starting to try to grow and spread, and are latching on to the sticks supporting the plants next to them (I got hardy cucumbers for outside growing).

BUT - the weather is so up and down, I don't know whether to risk putting them out yet to start to harden off. I have a nice south facing wall for them to grow up, but it still seems to cold. . .

Ideas anyone? I am in the Midlands.

I think it's too cold, mine are struggling in an unheated greenhouse with a cloch over them.  It's supposed to warm up a bit at the weekend so you could start putting them out in the sun during the day then & bringing them inside at night.
