I have a store ewe with two lambs and the ewe has been sheared.. I would like to treat asap (preventative) for possible fly,mite, tick but would prefer not to have to spend a fortune for so few sheep ... any advice welcomed on what my best approach is/type of treatment.All are healthy/sound.

See if your vet would sell you just the amount you need.

Yeah, or a local farmer.  Something like Crovect will do, or whatever they are using.

Seeing as the ewe has been sheared, she should be fine - just keep an eye on her and treat if required

Need to wait till fleece has grown a bit yet ... 2 to 3 weeks

For only a few sheep I would just keep an eye on them and treat only if necessary. If you only have a few sheep you can quite easily keep a close eye out for fly-strike and act fast. I would take a chance and watch and wait.

Crovect sounds lovely but is really nasty stuff which seems that everyone these days is pouring onto their sheep- a really long lasting broad insecticide which is probably doing untold damage to the environment and us https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cypermethrin

  Hi. I have used Barrier Blowfly Repel on my small flock. Mine are very tame tho so I can just wander round them in the field and put some on.

where are you based?  I am sure a local member would give a squirt of treatment if they are close enough.
