identifying black lambs

Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to mark very young black Herdwick lambs?  I find a yellow spray marker doesn't really show up and their ears are too small for tags.

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
