My first ewe lambed early on Weds morning.
She and her lively twin boys seem to be doing fine but it's now over 48 hours later and there still is a continuous trickle of bright red bloody slime coming from her vulva.
She definitely passed the placenta after the birth.
Have not seen this kind of continuous discharge before - should I be concerned?

If it's not smelly, I wouldn't worry too much.  Some ewes have a slight discharge for several days after birth.  If it suddenly increases, becomes smelly or bright red then I'd consult your vet.

It happened to one of mine a couple of years ago. It wasn't smelly but just continued for a few days. It didn't seem to cause her a problem and stopped soon after.

It is probably her body cleansing her womb, I have had this a few times and it always clears up. Having said that do keep an eye on her and if it carries on any longer then do call in a vet

If you can get close enough - give it a sniff, and if it smells unpleasant she may well have an infection. Also take her temperature and make sure she is keen on her food/drink. But as said above some ewes do have a discharge (goats do it even more pronounced for quite a few days - always throws first-time goatkeepers) and it may be just normal for her.

There was definitely no smell, and it seems now, another 36 hours later, the trickle has stopped.
Will keep an eye on her but it probably was just part of the process.
