More West Highland Way help needed!
« on: March 02, 2016, 02:07:58 pm »
I am looking for dog friendly accommodation in Kingshouse (the hotel is full) on 6th June, if not near enough where we can take a cab too and from the West Highland Way walk.  It's a pain to organise it myself but so much cheaper than using a service and I get better rooms!

Cheers!

IIRC there only is the hotel at Kingshouse, or camping. I doubt there are many TASers between there and Kinlochleven/Ballahoulish which are the nearest villages. So if you don't get an offer of accom from a TASer soon I 'd get dog friendly accom booked in one of those villages. B & bs there soon fill up with walkers, bikers and cyclists. The taxis are super organised with ferrying walkers about first thing after doing all their school runs. The distances might sound like a lot to you but are routine in that part of the world and you'd probably be fitted into a people carrier filled with others doing the same journey so it won't cost the same as a 15 mile taxi ride elsewhere.
