It's awful it really is. What I will say, is that the Anglo-Nubian's seem to do much better with eartags than the breeds that have ears that stick up. I have a terrible urge to import a La Mancha goat, as they have no ears, and then ask SEERAD/DEFRA how can I eartag it?!

Yes, Cain and Abel the Anglo Nubian boys have never had problems with their tags.  They are really posh looking ones too, very large brown in colour, with gold writing on the numbers, and their breeders  unique number on the reverse.  Never seen any like that before.

Never heard of the goats with no ears, but would like to to see DEFRA's face if we asked how we tag them :D
