What don't you have - but you'd like one?
« on: October 12, 2015, 07:31:00 pm »
I've been thinking after reading an article recently that as smallholders there is stuff that everyone would like/need but due to various reasons cannot have one.
I'm thinking more along the lines of machinery, tools, stock equipment e.g. a lamb weigh crate, a hay turner, a topper, chainsaw, a crush crate, a livestock trailer etc etc.  It could be something smaller than that.
So what would you like/need that would help you on the smallholding but you can't have at the moment?

A trailer that will take a builders' bag or sheet of plywood, and a sheep turnover crate, and a goose that lays golden eggs.

Mobile sheep handing system, top of my wish list - oh and a sheepdog that will lie down without me having to actually hold a gun to its head.

A little chap that stands beside me and says...... 'if you keep doing that you will break it'  at the appropriate time. THEN I wouldnt have to say a working rotovator in answer to this thread!

A weigh crate. As a scientist I like to weigh everything, but then I always know that with practice I will, get to judge weight accurately by eye and stop using it so....

....maybe I should start a separate thread on 'items I bought but rarely use' as these wish list items are not always as useful as you expect.
