Hubbards hatched
« on: April 02, 2010, 08:54:09 am »
The Central Scotland Smallholders Association (CSSA) recently purchased an incubator and various other equipment thanks to a grant from Awards for All . We have just had our first hatch and out of 108 eggs set we have 81 chicks which will hopefully be finding their way to several of our members over Easter weekend. There may be a few left for sale so if any one would like some please contact me and I can let you know.

Fantastic news, Andrew, 75% hatch rate is pretty good!
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

We purchased a Brinsea 190 with the humidity pump. Must say I have been impressed with it. Straight forward to set up, reasonably quiet operating and with the clear glass door when the chicks were hatching it is more entertaining than the t.v.
