Apparently she could be registered as the longhorn was sooo far back

Maybe have a word with Ruth Dalton at RBST. It's not like we have that many to play with and if she's sound and a good cow otherwise, it would seem daft (to me in the absence of any other explanation) to lose not only her but all her progeny to the breed.
