An update on my turkey-

I took him back to the vets for his check up and the vet gave him 3 more injections of various things. He does seem to be making an improvement. Today he seems to have made a very obvious improvement. When I went to let the pair of them out this morning, he had his head up and was looking around, so I lifted him out of the shed and he walked over to the food and had a little nibble. He even made his usual gobbling sound. I think he could have over excerted himself though because he then stood with his head down again. The crooked neck seems to be straighting out though. When I got him back from the vets this morning I held the food bowl up by his head and he was taking a bit of food. They usually have a raised food bowl, so I hope it helps him eat better.

He has to go back to the vets on Wednesday for a further check up and more injections. The vet said that once he starts to eat a bit better he will give me some baytril to give him orally. He was a bit more feisty when the vet was trying to inject him. Fingers crossed he is on the up.

One thing that did amuse me a bit was the look I got from a couple carrying a turkey out from the vets. I don't think they had ever seen anything like it before.

Im very pleased to say that he is back to his usual chatty self. He has a further 5 days of oral antibiotics,  but he is eating and drinking and strutting his stuff.  He doesn't have to go back to the vets again which is good. Iv just got to phone them in 5 days to say how he is doing.
