Hello everyone,

Just a quick introduction. I'm Philip, I'm a self employed sheep/goat shearer.

I also keep a couple of Kerry cows and their Belted Galloway X calves. I made all my hay by hand for them last year ( well, I did cut it with the tractor but did everything else by hand, including cutting the stack with a hayknife.)

Some of you have probably heard about me already as my sister is member MurmuringWheel. I demonstrate spinning around the country with her and other members of our family. I also want to start making spinning wheels myself.

Jackie, I don't normally sing during shearing, but I occasionally sing a few Australian shearing songs or Traditional English folk songs. Not fit for the ears of young children and ladies

I usually sing while I'm feeding the cows.

As for woolly jumpers, I can't move for the things! Or sheeps fleeces for that matter, so plenty of raw material to make more.

That could spell trouble ;)When I went to a craft fair I loved the hand knitted rugs, I recon they would sell well but cannot be botherd to knit any, the needles/pins looked like brush poles, would certainly make your arms ache!!!! I sing songs that are triggerd off by things I see or do and sometimes let something slip that I shouldn't  and it can be embarrasing, I suppose a bit like very controlled terretts ;)e.g. we had a guest in our B&B that reallly looked like Dr Spok from Star Trek and I kept humming the them tune and had to remember not to hum!!!!!

I've been singing Irish drinking songs all day..love the Pouges and the Dubliners,,,shame I have no drink!!
