how long does it take....
« on: March 06, 2010, 09:22:12 pm »
How long does it take for eggs to be fertilised after the cockerel has been introduced? The hens are laying non stop, so would like to put incubator on asap. Cockerel has been in for about two weeks now and is doing his stuff!

dont seem to be able to find anything about that in my poultry books...

thanks, Anke

Hello Anke Yesteryear the cockrel ran with the chickens in the stack yard all the time.At Christmas he had his neck stretched and then he was call a stag A good dressed stag will weigh a stone. This of course wont apply today the housewife don't want them.Which means. They are to costly for the return
Don't do today what can be put off until tomorrow because today will be yesterday tomorrow
