I'd rather not chase sheep, I have to be careful after mucking out buildings and painting, I felt my back twinge and I have a history of sciatica.

If it's bad advice/poorly worded post a correction explaining why a previous poster is wrong is fine so long as it's courteous.

For all of you lovely people in Tas land thank you for all the lovely reports in my inbox, this is very welcome and the correct way to deal with issues on the board.

Thanks, Rupert the bear. We all need hugs at times and, Waterbuffalofarmer, we all need to rant at times and this is the place to rant about anything smallholding related, where most of us understand. It's hard watching the weeds grown and not having time/energy/ability to do anything about it. I am disabled and, although I do what I can in my raised beds, I have to pay someone to do all the heavy stuff and anything that involves bending down. Trouble is, he's a student so has limited time and can anyone tell me why the day that is set aside for working on the veggie plot is the day it buckets down when it's been sunny every other day?  ::)

I feel a bit guilty reading about how bad some people's years are going. Other then chucking it down this week (week of annual leave sods law) the weather has been reasonable this year and the veg patch is doing pretty well. The veg might actually out-compete the weeds with a little help! Getting my preserve on this week and trying to get as much as possible laid down for the winter. :excited:

My problem has been the opposite- not enough rain. My rant is that I have people coming to look at my place week Sunday and it looks like a jungle. I have ordered a strmmer which soul have been here yesterday.  Still no sign of it. I use this site every day and have learned so much from it. I am very grateful for all the help that you guys have given me  :goat: :sheep: :chook: :wave:
