I got mine on March the 12th and in the envelope were some kidney bean seed 18 of So on Saturday a.m. I planted all 18 in one of those small individual hole propergators on some nice home made riddled and fertilized compost out of the kitchen waste bin. They are about an inch and a bit tall now.All 18 are growing I have never seen kidney bean seed like them they are white and called Blue Lake Kidney Bean.I am now looking forward to eating some to see how they compare to Scarlet Emperor. That is Kath and my favourite bean it grows well cooks well salts well and freezes well.I shall share half with my neighbour Roy who lives at No 6 and he has a nice garden being the end house and in which he grows lots of veggies we are on purple sprouting broccoli now and jolly good it is too.It isn't very successfull in boxes though it tends to tip over so I don't bother. I do grow 2 boxes of vining beans just to eat fresh I get a hand full of seed when they are being drilled in the field I don't know why I bother though I could go and pick some in the field.I don't bother with peas either I can get plenty from the field when the pods go pop.I have planted 6 of the Black Beauty Courgette seeds that was in the bbc pack. Will report how they do later :D :farmer:
