Worming
« on: March 02, 2010, 09:18:36 am »
Hi everyone, thank's for all your replie's regarding my last enquiry about pellet's or crumb's for xbat's. My question this time is about worming. Should this be done as a matter of course which I would preferto do, or should I wait to see any symtom's before I start treating, and also what is the best product to use for worming and the prevention of worm's.
              Thanking you all once again.

You must worm as a matter of course as worms can reduce egg production and  condition dramatically. Flubenvet is the best, Vermex is herbal and is ok as an inbetween wormer but use Flubenvet for main wormer. Hermit

as hermit says hit them hard every now and then. just using one wormer may lead to some escaping.

garlic flavoured chicken. finger licking good.
its ment to be a wormer but i would not risk the flocks health with it alone.

its sold as a wormer and pest repellent i started to use it but as a supliment to flubenvet and verm x, you get loads for your money... hope it repells mites. i also chuck a bit in the nest material, plus havent seen any vampires close by.

Paul knows about it as he is a neighbour! The poor turkey died a few weeks later, if I ever see him again he will be chop suey. But word of mouth is better than most punishments up here. Hermit
