Thank you Jackie, however, I have all the vices, I enjoy my ciggies, and my red wine and I don't really eat as I perhaps should,
at 28, I was advised I'll never see 40, now in my 50's the link that started this post says I might see 68,
got a lot to do in the next 10 years though, :) gonna be somewhat busy methinks.  :)

Perhaps we should try to value what we have been given together?

I am two packs a day in the least,
I tried once to go on  diet / detox/ quit smoking/ drinking red wine with an email friend, she did very well but I am afraid I fell by the wayside with three weeks!
I don't regret it though, as I am a perfectly confident, quite a happy person as is my friend who's stash of chocolate is truly safe
in her secret cubbyhole, under the stairs. :)

mine was 89 which is in line with most of my family I guess.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

I've got 81 years, but if I can get some veg to grow this year I can get it up to 86 (last year I managed to grow loads of spuds, quite a few peas, 8 carrots, 2 spring onions and one very small Cauliflower').

Oh, and if I have a sex change I'll get another 7 years!  ;D

Dan worked out that for 4 months we'll be 87 and 93 respectively so he reckons we're doomed in an accident. So for those 4 months we're staying in bed, so we could live forever!!

Hello Rosemary This is the first time I have spoken to you directly.I don't think living forever is a good idea I cannot prove this but quite frequently I read in the Telegraph (If you read me and I say its in the Telegraph I mean the Grimsby Evening Telegraph )Mrs ****** celebrates her 101st birthday A party was arranged at the Beeches etc;etc; Now Mrs ****** doesn't look like she chased the stock that had broken out the paddock nor does she look as if she could get out her wheelchair without a lot of help to swing her fencing gablet or she may have one of those new aluminium mallets. Its not for me Rosemary.I once said at a radio club meeting I'm going to be the oldest most cantankerous awkward sod here.To which some wag replied "Ain't you now" I told him I'd get him at playtime as well Regards George

Concluded that I don't want to know...sometimes think I've lived too long anyway when I think about the state of the world and how much our wonderful country has deteriorated....but then I think how lucky I am to live where I do and what a privileged life I lead...I'll take what comes, when it comes and just rejoice in what I/we have now for as long as it lasts...there's always someone worse off, no matter how hard it gets!

Attended nine funerals of family and friends last year...the youngest only forty the eldest eightythree...one thing for sure I'll do my utmost to enjoy life to the full for whatever time I have left!
