self catering cottages in Devon or Dorset?
« on: February 14, 2010, 11:06:19 pm »
Does anyone know of an affordable self catering cottage / house in Devon or Dorset to sleep 8?

Thinking about it perhaps we could start a home swap holiday looking after animals thing? could be a bit stressful i guess
not sure if anyone would want to come and stay in shed and static caravan with very little plumbing..........

Back to the original question.......Does anyone know of an affordable self catering cottage / house in Devon or Dorset to sleep 8?

No but i wouldn't mind a swap in that area for my place for a week or two in the early summer. I WISH ;can't see it happening though [not that lucky!]

Your static caravan with little plumbing sounds quite luxurious compared to our delapidated farmhouse with little plumbing, and iffy electrics!!!*----------------------------------------------------------------

Perhaps we just have to market our homes as shabby chic rural idylls and we will all be able to holiday somewhere warm and near a beach?

I use an agent for my holiday cottage bookings, you could try their website.   www.holidaycottages.co.uk

Unfortunately mine doesn't sleep 8.

Good luck....If you find yourself staying in Devon pop by and say hello.

Thanks Julie -  will do!

Might have to win the lottery first though

holiday houses down there seem to be about twice the price of up here. I suppose the temperature is on average 10o warmer though!!!!!
