Hello from Anglesey!
« on: February 12, 2010, 05:07:18 pm »
Hi Folks! Me and the missus have 8.5 acres here on sunny Anglesey not doing much with it at the moment but plans are afoot. We keep laying hens in the back yard and plan to expand into a bit of a breeding and rearing some dual purpose birds. We're also on the way to getting some pigs in the near future and are about to start an allotment sized vegetable patch. Two of our three fields are let out for grazing at the moment but we're hoping to expand into it over the next couple of years.

Hello from the wet cold Scottish Borders. I tried light Sussex for meat but I am afraid that I could not stand the plucking, so just sticking to laying birds.

Not too fussy but they'll definitely be rare breed. It'll somewhat depend on what's available when we're ready for them.
