I have Dales and Fell ponies.  I struggled to get a treed saddle that suited me and the ponies - some are as round as they high, and very short backed, and no withers.
The treeless I prefer for myself is the genuine Trekker.  I was gutted when two were stolen from our stables, and it took ages for me to scrape enough money to buy another second hand one - and it was like having an old friend back!!  We also have Torsion, which my husband prefers, but I am not keen on that.  I am now on the lookout for another treeless saddle. as we have not enough to go round if a few of us ride, but not sure what to go for next.
If you were closer, I would be more than happy to let you borrow the Trekker or Torsion to try.

I think I tried the torsion and didn't like it. Also tried a Heather Moffatt and Freeform but they all tipped me forward so felt really unsafe. It would have been great to be near enough to try other makes as they are so expensive.

I've just bought a Sensation hybrid which I hope will arrive next week. Not my ideal choice but I'm hoping it's as good as everyone says. Will let you know! I find racing saddles brilliant on them though. Safe as houses and comfortable. Never slip despite one of mine spinning on a sixpence I never budge. They are relatively cheap as a spare.

Hope you like your Hybrid. I love mine. I've tried a few models now but went back to a Hybrid, much prefer the models with the swells.

I know quite a few people with Heather Moffatt saddles, and having ridden in one, I was quite impressed. They do tend to be in short supply second hand, and expensive too.  WOW saddles are expensive, but again, fit natives.  I do find my Trekker very comfortable, the seat is deep - like a big armchair.

I am wondering about the Copperbeech treeless.  I think that's the one developed by a Fell owner.  I would not mind trying one of those.

I have just read what has happened to the saddle you were buying - you must be gutted.
