Brittanys are only recommended for Hip scores, so I have had Missy x-rayed - no decision has been nor will be made about breeding from her until A. she matures (she is 17 months now, so at least 2 );  B. she shows promise and gains awards in the show ring(already has) or field

; C. she enjoys her puppyhood

; D. she is deemed fit and well prior to mating by my vet; and E.  I feel capable of coping with up to a dozen pups to 8 weeks.

Her result came through yesterday - breed average is 18, preferably equal both sides; her sire is 18 (9/9), her dam is 22 (11/11)
Missy's score is 15 (pretty level too - 8 right, 7 Left)
I'm very happy with hers being lower than her parents - that's the improvement I was looking for; would have preferred them lower, but if I do breed from her I'll either use Allez who is 4/3 or another low scored dog.
I won't be advertising them on here since they are a specialist breed, and I already have a number of requests.  Just wanted to share my good news.
