Looking for more ryelands
« on: March 18, 2015, 09:27:17 pm »
I am looking for more Ryeland ewes, don't have to be pedigrees but need to be good purebreds.
I am in southwest scotland, happy to travel an hour or two to pick up.

Does anyone know of any?

I might have 2 ewes (white, not registered) for sale later in the year. Friendly girls but looking to build a registered flock. North Yorkshire.  :sheep:

I may have some of each colour depending what you are after and I travel up to Fife. I only sell registered though. If they are not good enough to register I dont sell them on.

We have a few coloured hoggs and white fleeced hoggs that are registered on the Supplementary register, some or all of which will be for sale after lambing is complete.

Plus we'll probably have lambs to sell at weaning. I usually register all the ewe lambs but I'm easy either way.

Good healthy stock but not show quality. At least we don't show them  :)

We're in Carnoustie.

I have a flock of Coloured Ryelands.

You're welcome to add yourself to my facebook group 'Greenlea Coloured Ryelands'. I'll be posting what we'll have for sale later in the year but currently have a male and female shearling available. They were twins.
I'm based near Carlisle and you're welcome to come and have a look.

If you look on the RFBS website, there is a breeder's list. Have a look there for breeders in your area.

Thanks all, should have said I am looking for coloureds.
I have just found some but I would like to keep increasing the herd so may well be in touch.
All the ryelands I have are pedigrees but I am looking to breed mainly for meat so having pedigrees is no longer so important.
