thanks for that Gdhp, I did contact speak to a crofting law solicitor a while back, Ewan Harris but he wasn't that helpful, just told me to make sure I paid the croft rent which I am.
I'll give those ones a go and see of they have anything new to offer

my other vain hope was that his new partner feeds him loads of cholestrol heavy food and he just keels over but as she's Philippino I suspect lots of rice and fish on the menu
