Hi all! My S.O. and I purchased 9 sheep from a salebarn in Montana last summer and are looking for some help in determining their breeding. The largest weighs around 150 and the smallest ( a ewe lamb about 1 year old) is around 50 lbs. Colors are 4 pure black wethers, 1 black ram with a white dot on his head and a gray undercoat, a brown weather, 3 mostly white ewes with black around the eyes or a mottled black/ white face, and one funny little gray ewe with a black face. In the pictures below they are mixed with our little herd of rambouillets ( and a few suffolks and suffolk crosses). They are quite a bit wilder than the rambouillets and like to jump about and climb on things like our goats. I''ve grown pretty fond of the little things and am very curious as to what exactly they are. The fellow who sheared them for us a week ago felt like they were some sort of Icelandic cross; they are so small that they couldn't possibly be purebreds. Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated!
