Hi Sandy

Just watched the pups on youtube - how lovely! There is really nothing more beautiful than new puppies is there? Islay has done a tremendous job with her gorgeous brood - in particluar I spied a couple of very chunky adorable yellows!

Enjoy the puppies and thier wonderful mum. Would love to see more of proud mother and her babies!

Cheers, and thanks for the heartwarming puppy footage! - Dee

I couldn't feed mine separately like that - they keep swapping dishes.  So best all in one huge dish.  I see you are on to the shredded paper now instead of newspapers.  It is cleaner but messier!

I do my own shredding so I know what's in it.  Don't want broken staples damaging their little paws or their tums as they eat everything!.

Not keen on the shredded paper just yet, it hides the poos so you stand in them and the bit's of paper stick to your shoes or feet and get everywhere, at least sheets of paper you can see the little piles or not so little piles and now we have plenty of paper for now,,,,think we will keep to that although the pups are having fun making nests...I still think straw is best,  a lot of breader use it or wood chippings, I know you have to watch mites and dust but it is nice and insulating....not in the kitchen but when they are out in the dog room.....anyway, Islay did 2 big piles this morning so with her and the pups and the birds, I am poooed out for now...coffee time.

Sorry, but I disagree.  I've never used straw or wood chip for puppies, and never would, and I don't know any breeders who do.  Pups eat everything and I wouldn't want them choking or getting poorly tums, and as you say there are mites and dust which can cause lung problems.  I like shredded paper because any poos get covered in it so the pups stay clean.  But I don't walk in and out of my puppy pen as it's a different type from yours.  And I lift any poos I see anyway.  The only thing you have to watch is staples. JMHO

They're lovely - doesn't look like nine though. And they seem to do everything in slow motion.
