Lleyns, they re tough and sure footed, intelligent and cross well.  Have recently had the white face llandovery catalogue, have left it in a very prominent place in the house hoping that his lord ship will take the hint ha!

Tag along with a knowledgeable farmer neighbour to market for pointers on what makes a good sheep.  I prefer to buy off farm where possible, so you can see the rest of the stock and how the farm's run.

Thanks all for the advice. Decided to dip my toe in with four Torwen Ewe lambs. Not pedigree but look good to me. Now busy making hurdles and related items. They seem to have settled straight away and are grazing away in gale force winds.
Bought the Tim Tyne book for reference.
