MMMMMMM.... :yum: Dripping on nice bread with a little salt n pepper.
My wife thinks i am disgusting for saving the dripping, especially the dark stuff that jellifies and lurks beneath the lardy bit.
went to a fireworks party on sunday evening, where my friend ,simon served a large piece of my pork up slow roasted as sandwiches, with dripping in place of butter if you wanted, not many takers, but it was beautiful. he also had cheap hot dogs, which I admit i ate two( for scientific research?) but had to cover them with chilli con carne to disguise the taste, or lack of it.
we are lucky if we can always have access to good , proper meats, but why should those that can't be fed rubbish because of profiteering?
